Towns, Villages & ChurchesThese are some of the Towns, Villages and Churches where the Stonestreet family have been born, lived and died. Churches are of course particularly important to us as they recorded all the major events in family life. Christenings, Marriages and Burials. St. Thomas the Martyr's Church, Winchelsea, E. Sussex. St. Laurence Church, Guestling, E. Sussex. Building dates back to the 11th Century All Saints and St. Nicholas Church, Icklesham, E. Sussex. Built prior to 1150 AD. Church of St. Thomas a Becket, Brightling, E. Sussex. Brightling was built soon after the Norman conquest in 1066. Church of St. Mary, Warbleton, E. Sussex Interior of St Mary's at Warbleton Both Warbleton photo's were very kindly supplied by Rhoda. St. Dunstan's Parish Church, Mayfield, E. Sussex There is thought to have been a Church building on this site since at least 960 AD. St. Giles Church, Dallington, E. Sussex The earliest reference to Dallington Church is 1180. All Saints Church, Mountfield, E. Sussex Mountfield in mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1066 but is thought to be older.
